Preschool kids will love these alphabet matching cards! These alphabet matching activities will be perfect for kids just starting to learn to identify their letters. There are two versions of these printables to suit all your learners. The best part about this activity? You could print and set it up as a file folder activity! So you would just print it on small A4 paper instead of the poster paper.

There are also optional beginning sound 'train mats' you can use to further explore learning beginning sounds and phonics with your kids. The templates provided fit the 4x4 post-it notes (when printed on large poster A3 paper).

To prepare:

  • A3 Paper
  • A3 Printer
  • Blu-tack (or something you can use to stick the posters onto the wall)
  • Post-it Notes (any colour)

Print all pages in colour or greyscale and then laminate them (you will be glad you did after the kids get their hands on the posters ðŸ˜‰). Use blu-tack to mount the posters onto the wall. Program a set of post-it notes with the alphabet letters A-Z, you can also write lowercase letters.

You can do this when the kids aren't in class or if you homeschool when your kids hide or close their eyes while you hide the post-it notes around the room.

I made doubles of some letters for added practice and I've also included a recording sheet to get them writing the letters they have found.
